She attended Bethlehem schools and earned her BFA, from Kutztown University, and also earned her MFA from Marywood University, Scranton, PA. In her early years, she studied as a young artist with the late Jerry Quier and Myron Barnstone of Barnstone Studios. Rose had also attended workshops presented by many noted local, national, and international artists from whom she learned many advanced techniques. As a lifelong learner, she strives to learn more from various sources to enhance her art-making. After spending 25 years working with watercolors, acrylics, and pastels, she is now focused more on oil paintings. She especially enjoys the outdoors and has been painting plein air, or outdoor paintings of original paintings in oils.
