Learn the art of modern calligraphy with lettering artist Lauren Beck of Ren & Ink in this fun intro Brush Lettering workshop! Lauren will dive deep into forming basic strokes, the lower case alphabet, letter connections, and even a bit of fancy flourishing to add beautiful touches. Using high quality brush pens (no inky mess!) and a custom guided workbook, this class is perfect for the absolute beginner – especially those who enjoy artful journaling, crafting, or designers who want to add to their skill set. This class will be instruction-based with no formal project, and the time will be spent focusing on letter formation, including endless tips and tricks to build confidence. Each student will walk away with a strong knowledge base, obsessed and excited to continue practicing and creating their artful lettering at home! *Special Bonus!* Each student will receive FREE access to Lauren’s online Brush Lettering Learning Portal. There you’ll find videos and extra printable worksheets to brush up your skills and re-watch videos of the basic strokes and alphabet, continuing your learning at home beyond the classroom. Suggested ages are 12 and older – but please keep in mind that this is a lengthy seated class and requires patience (though past preteens and teens have impressed us!).
